Excitement

Sunday, March 20,

I'm really excited for ultimate tomorrow. I have no idea what's going to happen, whether they'll let me play, whether I'll have to pay, whether there'll be room in the hotel or I'll have to find a room myself or what. But the town is only an hour from BCN by bus so the worst that happens is that I catch a bus home at the end of the day and miss the parties. Hopefully I'll get to stay and catch the parties, though. :)

Today was really nice; I woke up late and cooked myself a nice big egg scramble with lots of veggies, including AVOCADO which I'm really excited about ... I wasn't sure whether it was going to be good, but it was. Then I met up with the Geneva girls! Four of the girls from AIESEC in Geneva came to Barcelona for the weekend, just for fun, and I got to have coffee with them, go shopping, and then out to dinner. It was really terrific to see them, and what's even better is that we will see each other again for the conference I'm going to in April. AND what's more is that I will see Dana from Hawai'i in Lausanne, Switzerland, when I'm there for the conference as well, because she'll be there with her boyfriend the exact same weekend. CRAZY! So timing seems to be working out for me.

All right, I'm off to bed, and off to the BEACH tomorrow!

Language spot:

In Spanish they have two different words for nickname. Apodo is a nickname that has nothing to do with your name (like, for example, Salty, Brown Lake, Foxy, Peach-Blossom-Plum-Butt, The Dumper, the Bond Girls). A diminutivo is a nickname that is a shortened version of your name: Mel, Chris, Jeff, Susie, etc.
