Reflections upon bed:
- god DAMN groceries are expensive. i went to albertson's to pick up like 5 items and wound up spending $50! got lots of good fruit, but JEEZ. i think i'm going to just stop eating.
- there is nothing more delicious, relaxing, and luxurious than sitting in a café, sipping a pumpkin spice latte and reading harry potter. absolutely nothing. i have done it a total of once, and it is *wonderful*.
- said harry potter steals - rather, obliterates - all self-control.
- my gym has little TVs to go along with the cardio machines so today i watched a charming episode of Fresh Prince of Bel Air while i worked out. It was great.
-i don't feel like i'm dancing enough. i'm working out enough but not dancing enough. like i'm dancing tango but not really taking enough lessons, and i'm definitely not studio dancing enough. i need to fix that. had ballet today, and it felt good. i love jumps.
- someone last night told me I was "very talented" in tango - someone i respect as a lead. he also offered (not in a sketchy way) to give me free one-on-one instruction before the milonga on sunday afternoons. i should jump on that.
- took the written portion of the rotary exam yesterday morning. after everyone telling me that it was difficult, i was surprised; it didn't seem hard at all, and i really don't think it's because i'm an "advanced" speaker, i just didn't think it was that challenging. we shall see when i get the results ... i still have the oral portion to do, which i need to wake up at 7:30am for. Damn the west coast time zone.
- why do i always feel like there's never enough time?
