My sister comes today! I'm very excited, but before I go into that, I'm a little behind in my entries and I want to record a few things before I forget them.
Last weekend, before I left, I participated in two satisfying social endeavors. First I went out to XYZ, the bar at the W Hotel in downtown SF, with Jing and Nicole and a bunch of her gay roommate's friends. I was very happy with my chocolate martini and I must say that I wasn't entirely sober for Nicole's riveting descriptions of her new job responsibilities, including sorting hundreds of condoms based on flavor, texture, and size (I made that last one up).
Then, I went to lunch with Emily, which was an unexpected surprise. Although we live in the same city, we rarely get together because we're both so busy, so lunch with her at Grove café and seeing her apartment afterwards was très fantastique.
